Estoy segura de que todos, en algún momento de nuestra vida, hemos escuchado esta palabra que, si bien puede decirse que no es fea, conlleva un significado negativo. Para un escritor o escritora esto supone el pan de cada día. Mandar un relato a un concurso, una novela a una editorial y… rechazo.
Creo que he titulado mal esta entrada. Debería haberse llamado Sobre el rechazo y cómo superarlo. Porque no fracasamos cuando nos aseguran que lo que les hemos mandado no es de su gusto o no pega con el sello editorial. Sin embargo, en ese mismo instante, en cuando sientes que el no es real, que no es solo producto de tu imaginación, lo ves como un fracaso y uno estrepitoso además.
Así que, ¿qué mejor que hablar de cómo podemos superar ese momento? Mejor dicho: ¿qué hago yo para superar ese fatídico día en el que me han rechazado?
1. Permitirme estar triste. Desde mi punto de vista, creo que es necesario. Sí, nos dicen que no nos desanimemos, que hay más oportunidades pero tú te sientes de esa manera y está bien que lo hagas. Te entristece no haber ganado y tienes que expresarlo de alguna forma. Esto solo se permite por un día, ¿eh? Al día siguiente a levantar cabeza y a seguir con la vida.
2. Hablar del tema. Busca a personas que sabes que te escucharán y que te entenderán y permítete desahogarte. Una vez que lo hagas, te sentirás mucho mejor y será un poco como curarte de esa herida.
3. Lista de aprendizaje. Esto lo hacen muchas personas y bueno, me parece buena idea (yo también lo he empezado a hacer). Consiste en tener una hoja donde vayas apuntando todos esos noes (en forma de dibujitos) y apuntar qué has sacado con esa experiencia. Sé que a veces parece que no existe nada positivo pero… tranquilidad que lo hay.
4. Escribir. Quizás pienses que es el fin del mundo, que no sirves para la escritura pero que eso no te impida escribir. Si quieres hacer un breve relato sobre lo triste que estás o sobre lo que te de la real gana, hazlo. No hay que perder la costumbre por nada del mundo.
5. Recargar energías con tus hobbies. Dedícate a otra cosa para apartar los pensamientos negativos y olvidarte un poco de que no todo ha salido como a ti te gustaba.
6. Volverlo a intentar. No hay ganas, sé que no hay ningunas ganas de volver a meterte en otro concurso, antología o envío de manuscritos pero hay que hacerlo. Porque si no lo haces, está claro que nunca lo conseguirás. Así que hay que levantar cabeza y volver a la carga en cuanto se pueda. Las conquistas no se hacen en un día y mucho menos publicar un libro. No sé a qué esperas para ir buscando más convocatorias de escritura.
Y por si acaso lo dudabais, sí, esta entrada es para mí, principalmente. Quiero compartirlo con vosotros y que también me deis consejos para superar este duro momento por el que todos pasamos. Quizás algún día deje de importar pero, por ahora, sigue doliendo y hay que encontrar un buen remedio para pasar el mal trago.
